EOY

The EOP was established under the Reorganization Act of 1939 during the administration of President President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. The intent was to  centralize the administrative functions of the executive branch and to bolster the power of the presidency. The various agencies and councils provide policy advice and help communicate the president's agenda.

The head of the EOP is the White House Chief of Staff. That position is currently held by Ron Klain.
